/ Appeal to obtain video footage following fight

Police are asking for the public’s help to obtain video footage following a fight in the Manchester city centre.

At around 2.50am on Saturday 30 September 2017, police were called to reports of a large fight off John Dalton Street.

A 24-year-old man was treated for stab wounds to his neck at the scene but he sadly died as a result of his injuries.

Detective Inspector Andy Butterworth of GMP’s Murder Investigation Team, said: “On a Saturday night out, people will have taken photos and videos to capture their evening.

“We’re sure that people who were in Suburbia on Ridgefield last Saturday night (30/09/17) or who were in the nearby area, will have some images taken on their phone that could really help with our investigation.

“I’d ask people to check through their phone and send in anything that was taken near the nightclub or John Dalton Street, and could be useful, to our dropbox account on SCD.CCTV@gmp.police.uk “

Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 9008, 101, or through our independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
