Town: Manchester
Comments: I met mike only once it was recently at an end of year celebration with the ICVA, I spoke to him briefly about my role whilst tucking into the buffet, he was such a down to earth family man with a care for everyone around him, I felt I had known him for years even though we had only met briefly, I'm sure he will indeed be sadly missed by all that met him, my sincere condolences are with his close family and they will be in my prayers.
Name: "Doc"
Town: Devon
Comments: I was still green & a little out of my depths when we first met (over 20 years ago). Mike was far more confident & made me feel instantly at ease with some well-timed words of wit-tempered-wisdom. Over the following months whenever our paths crossed, at the very end of our conversations he used to say "Just remember ..." and those two words were enough to remind me. Well as you know, I made it Mike and it's all because I "Just remembered.." I will always value those words, that smile, your wisdom & your kindness. I do hope that you've finally found what you were always looking for. Until we meet again Mike ....just remember.... xx
Name: Bob Walton
Town: Nottingham
Comments: I retired from Nottinghamshire Police nearly 11 years ago. I worked closely with Mike Todd on many occasions. I can only decsribe him as an absolute gentleman and an extremely professional police officer. He was one of those very rare senior police officers who retained the common touch and as such was always extremely approachable to everyone. The world and the police service are a lesser place for his leaving us. My thoughts are with his close friends and family and let this great guy rest in peace

He made everyone feel very welcome, especially our young son and i'll always remember him as "Mr Smooth" as my husband jokingly refered to him as. My thoughts and heart go out to his family and friends at this very sad time. May you rest in peace Michael. Love from the Hickman Family
