A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Tyldesley.

Just after 3am on Monday 7 May 2012, police were called to a house on Rutland Road after receiving reports of a man being stabbed.

Officers attended and discover a 23-year-old man with serious injuries to his torso.

He was taken to hospital but later died.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
