KIN you help?

The Fallowfield Neighbourhood Policing Team is appealing for residents to get involved with policing in their area.

The Key Individual Network (KIN) scheme is ran in partnership with Manchester City Council and enables residents to ensure that local issues are dealt with.

Police are encouraging more people to get involved in keeping the area safe by volunteering to become a KIN.

Inspector Lindsay Atherton from the Fallowfield Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “It is important that the service we deliver reflects the needs of local people and KINs provide a vital link between officers and the communities we serve.

"It can mean anything from registering your email address with us to receive regular updates about policing in your area, to expressing an interest in getting that bit more involved, perhaps with helping with local schemes such as Homewatch or residents' associations.

“We really appreciate the efforts of all our KINs and are especially keen to increase members from the Withington, Old Moat and Burnage. If anybody is interested in becoming one, please contact the Fallowfield Neighbourhood Policing Team on 0161 856 4423 or email fallowfield@gmp.police.uk.”
