Reporting terrorism

If you have any concerns about potential terrorist activity within your neighbourhood or community, please contact the Confidential Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321. Our specialist officers will take your call and listen to your concerns.

Terrorist material could include:

  • articles, images, speeches or videos that promote terrorism
  • content encouraging people to commit acts of terrorism
  • websites made by terrorist organisations
  • videos of terrorist attacks

Alternatively, a confidential on-line form can be submitted (This service is managed by the Metropolitan Police Service).

A textphone service is available for people with speech or hearing difficulties on 0800 032 45 39 (text messages from mobiles are not accepted).

Reporting online terrorism

The internet is used by some people to promote, glorify or help carry out acts of terrorism and violent extremism.

The public can now report online content they suspect may be of a terrorist nature direct to a specialist police unit.

In the event of an emergency, please call 999.

Reporting a vulnerable individual

If you have concerns about an individual potentially being radicalised please ring 101 quoting Channel.

If it is an emergency please ring 999.
