Customer Satisfaction Surveys

GMP, and all police forces in England and Wales, conduct surveys with people who have recently come into contact with the police. In particular we survey those who have experienced a burglary, vehicle crime, violent crime,  hate crime or anti-social behaviour.

The Home Office sets out guidance for the surveys to ensure that all police forces are conducting the surveys in the same way so the results can be compared.

The surveys are telephone interviews and are conducted by an independent market research company, SMSR Ltd, based in Hull.

The results of the surveys are used to improve the service that we provide to victims in the future.
