Man sadly died following collision with tram

Around 6.50pm on Wednesday 10 April 2019, a tram was travelling from Market Street in the direction of Victoria train station when it was involved in a collision with a pedestrian

Eighties' football coach jailed for indecent assault

Sydney Hallworth (28/01/1948) of Ellerthwaite Road, Windermere, Cumbria was sentenced to five-and-a-half-years in prison after being found guilty of five counts of indecent assault
