Man charged after girl dropped into river in Bolton


Man has been charged after a girl was dropped into a river in Bolton.

Damien Smith (17/02/1978) of Gendre Street, Bolton has been charged with attempted murder and affray.

He remains in custody and will appear at Bolton Magistrates Court, today, Wednesday 25 October 2017.

This charge relates to an incident on 29 September 2017, where a 3-year-old girl was dropped into the river on Crompton Way in Bolton.
