Appeal after shots fired at house in Crumpsall

Police are appealing for witnesses after shots were fired at a house on Middleton Road in Crumpsall.

At 2am on Wednesday 7 March 2018 police were called to reports of a firearm discharge.

Armed officers attended and two bullet holes were found in the front door of the house.

Following further investigation it was revealed that the incident had happened at around 12.30am on Wednesday 7 March 2018.

There is now a scene in place and police are now appealing for information.

Inspector Muzemil Kernain from GMP’s City of Manchester Team said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have information about this incident.

“Thankfully there were no injuries but that does not mean we will take it any less seriously, as there could easily have been.

“Guns are not welcome on our streets and we will do all that we can to find those who use them and bring them to justice.

“I would like to hear from anyone who may have any information, no matter how small.”
