A Gross Misconduct Hearing will be held on 24th April 2017 in the Media Suite at the Force HQ, Northampton Rd, Newton Heath, Manchester, M40 5BP. The hearing is scheduled to last for three days.
PC ‘G’ 13055 Haxby and PC ‘G’ 11786 Proctor will answer allegations that their conduct amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, specifically the standards of Authority, Respect and Courtesy and of Discreditable Conduct, contrary to the Police (Conduct) regulations 2012. It is alleged that on 29 September 2016, during a search of a property in Denton, Greater Manchester, both officers intentionally caused unnecessary damage.
The Media Suite has limited space to accommodate members of the public and the number attending may have to be restricted to twenty people and four members of the press.
Anyone who wishes to attend must register with GMP by 4pm on Friday, 21 April 2017 by ringing 0161 856 2910 and leaving their details including name and address and a contact telephone number. Anyone who has not registered will not be allowed in the hearing.
No recording or filming of the proceedings is allowed. The hearing is being held on police premises. For security reasons, those who attend may be searched before being allowed entry and they will be escorted when moving around the premises. Anyone who disrupts the hearing may be asked to leave.
There are no parking or refreshment facilities available at the Force HQ for people attending the hearing.
