The Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team have been consulting with residents in the areas of Waterhead and Stoneleigh Park as well as Sholver Lane and Northgate Public House to find out what issues you want us to tackle.

In response we have launched a summer operation to tackle criminal damage and youths congregating and drinking alcohol. Patrols have been increased in the parks and officers will be speaking to young people about the consequences of their behaviour and encouraging them to get involved in the positive activities put in place over the summer as part of safe4summer.com, including football, street dance and cricket.

We are also continuing to crackdown on anti-social behaviour and criminal damage on Shakespeare Road and Derker Pond. We are working with First Choice Homes to identify those responsible and we will be looking at a number of options to deal with them, including eviction, injunctions, Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and ASBOs.
