We're working hard to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour to make your area a safer place to live and work. You can have your say on how these priorities are set by contacting your neighbourhood policing team and indentifying the issues that matter to you.

Here are the priorities we are currently tackling in your area:

  • Gangs of youths have been throwing stones at passing vehicles and trams which has caused extensive damage. One taxi firm has had 40 taxi’s damaged in the last 6 months. There have also been many reports of windows being smashed at addresses in the vicinity.
  • The youths have been responsible for anti-social behaviour aimed at local businesses and at the Metro link staff. This has involved a large scale disturbance where the tram inspectors were assaulted, youths pulling the emergency cord continually which prevented the tram from completing its journey, verbal abuse aimed at passengers and the driver.

Community meetings are held regularly in your community, giving you an opportunity to speak to your local officers or discuss local policing issues.
