We are looking for a diverse range of people to join GMP as a Police Support Volunteer
Greater Manchester Police are looking for people with the drive and enthusiasm to make a difference to their local community. We will be happy to discuss how you might put your skills to use within the GMP Volunteer Programme.
We understand that people volunteer for different reasons.
It may be that you have recently retired and want to give something back to your community. You may be a student looking for some work experience within a field you are interested in. Whatever your motivation, please apply and we will try and find a suitable role which is flexible around your lifestyle.
You could work in the evening, at the weekend or early in the morning. Because policing is a 24-hour operation, there are volunteering opportunities to match a wide range of circumstances.
You can contribute as little as four hours to as much as 40 hours a month.
The GMP Volunteer Programme welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds and with a range of experiences. However there are certain key criteria that have to be met before we can consider you for a volunteering role:
- You are aged 16 years or over
- You have been a permanent resident in the UK for the past three continuous years
- You currently live or work in the GMP force area
If you are interested in becoming a Police Support Volunteer, please email HR.Recruitment@gmp.police.uk
