A man was locked inside his own home during a burglary in Sale.
Shortly after 2am on Thursday 22 June 2017, the victim, a 30-year-old man, heard someone downstairs in his Cranleigh Drive property.
He shouted down to the burglar asking him to leave. The thief then threatened to hurt the victim if he didn’t go back upstairs and fled the property via the front door with car keys and the house keys, after locking the homeowner inside.
Detectives have now released an E-fit in the hope that someone might recognise him.
GMP’s Detective Constable Deborah Humphreys said: “People should feel safe in their own home and to catch a burglar rifling through your personal belongings is understandably upsetting.
“I’m hoping that someone might recognise the man pictured in the E-fit or have any information about the incident.
“You might have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence. If so, then please get in touch.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 214 of 22 June 2017.
