Did you witness a robbery in Ashton-under-Lyne?

Officers are appealing for information after a woman was robbed on Friday 4 January 2019.

At around 7pm a woman approached the victim – who is in her 60s - from behind and to snatch her handbag.

During the attack the victim was dragged to the floor and the robber ran off with her handbag.

No one was injured but the woman was understandably left shaken.

Officers are trying to identify the woman pictured as part of their enquiries.

Anyone who has any information about the robbery, or recognises the woman in the picture, should call police on 0161 856 9258 quoting incident number 1740 of 04/01/19.
