Former special constable Alice Hickey has always wanted a role where she’s part of a community.
The 28-year old who has also worked as a call handler and radio operator for the Force is now looking forward to the challenges of her new role as a police constable.
She said: “Supporting the community and helping to make a difference is something that I’ve always wanted to do as a career choice.
“I am looking forward to the challenges and experiences I will face.”
Alice has been posted to the City of Manchester Division. She and 95 other new recruits were attested into the role of police constable last Tuesday at a formal ceremony held at Stockport Town Hall.
