Two men have been charged after an elderly man was pushed over and robbed in Salford.

Cecil Taylor Williams (born 11/11/93) of no fixed abode and a 17-year-old boy have been charged with robbery.

They were due before Salford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 11 September 2012.

At about 10.30pm on Sunday 17 June 2012, the offenders approached the 76-year-old man outside Tesco at the Ellesmere Shopping Centre in Walkden, and asked him if he was waiting for a taxi.

The victim said he was and the pair then pushed him to the floor and stole his mobile phone from his pocket.

The victim suffered a cut to his hand and shock.
