Chief Superintendent Wayne Miller joined GMP in 1989 as a Special Constable while working in another full time job with the Inland Revenue. Two years later he became a regular officer and was initially posted to Rochdale. During his career he has worked in a number of areas of Greater Manchester and has performed a wide range of roles in uniform, plain clothes and also the CID.
