Your Inspector

Steve Hubbard
Residents have recently told us that off-road bikes are causing them concern. Not only are they noisy but they are incredibly dangerous and in recent weeks we have seized seven of these vehicles. I want to reassure residents that we take off-road bikes very seriously so please do contact us if there is one causing a nuisance in your neighbourhood. To assist us please make a note of the type of bike and a description of the rider as this will increase our chances of catching them.
I appreciate that there has been some concern recently with regards to bike theft. To tackle this issue we put in place a number of initiatives and deployed covert resources to hotspot areas. I am pleased to report that there has been a significant decrease; however I would urge residents to remain on their guard and ensure that bikes are securely fastened to something bulky or an immoveable object.
If you’d like to tell us about your concerns then please contact us via email or telephone. Alternatively please attend one of our community meetings or stop and speak to a neighbourhood officer when they are out and about on patrol.
Have a great summer and stay safe.
