Your Inspector

Claire Galt
Over the coming months, Tameside West Neighbourhood Policing Team will be asking for your input to influence the policing of your neighbourhoods, to ensure our service is focussed on the needs of local communities, addressing the issues that matter most to people in Tameside. When action is taken we will provide feedback and inform the community.
Priorities for the Tameside are protecting vulnerable people, reducing domestic burglary, reducing vehicle crime, tackling anti-social behaviour and increasing public satisfaction.
Residents have raised concerns about damage and theft from the Ash Road allotments. In response officers have been working with the local council to improve CCTV and have organised property marketing days.
In addition the Division recently conducted a day of action during which 17 warrants were executed and six people charged with a variety of offences including theft from a motor vehicle and possession of drugs.
Officers acted on information supplied by the public and I would encourage people to contact the neighbourhood policing team or Crimestoppers anonymously on tel: 0800 555 111 with any policing concerns they may have.
