Inspector - East Middleton

Paul Wood

Inspector Paul Wood

Hello I am Paul Wood and I am the new Neighbourhood Inspector for Heywood and Middleton. Welcome to our Neighbourhood web page. I have been a Police officer for 14 years during which time I have completed a variety of roles across a number of divisions and in specialist departments.

Over the coming 12 months I will be coordinating a number of initiates to reduce anti-social behavior and arrest offenders. I hope you see the positive results of these.

With the increasing demand on staff we have been keen to link up with other agencies to ensure that the right people are on hand to deal with vulnerable people. The benefits of this are already being observed with the most vulnerable in society getting the help they need at the earliest opportunity.

I believe that working with the community is the key to any success that our Neighbourhood team attains. We will interact with the community in a number of ways: online PACT meetings will be conducted as will face to face meetings. PCSOs will conduct surgeries within the community and most importantly you will see my team out and about speaking and engaging with you all.

Information from the public is crucial to successful policing and I would urge anyone who has any information that may assist our investigations or locate offenders, to contact myself or a member of the team.

Please keep telling us your concerns, because if we don’t know the issues that are affecting our area and that are blighting our community we cannot take action to resolve those issues.

If you have concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour in the area please contact us on the numbers provided on these web pages. You can also give information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
