Job summary

You will provide support in complex Counter Terrorism intelligence led investigations, regarding the conversion of material into evidence, in relation to victims, witnesses and suspects, formulating and applying an ethical interview strategy, in accordance with ACPO guidelines and best practice.. You will also provide support to the CTU, with regards for personal development and awareness of ongoing changes in investigative interviewing. Having completed a nationally recognised CID Course in accordance with PIP or equivalent, you will have attained National Interview Advisor status as accredited by ACPO, have attended the Specialist Trainer Development Programme and have successfully passed the following courses; National Tier Three Investigative Interviewing of Suspects and National Tier Three Investigative Interviewing of Suspects and National Tier Five Advisors courses, in accordance with ACPO guidelines. Proven evidence and experience of performing the role of an interviewing advisor at Local, Regional and National levels is also essential to this role, alongside experience of practitioner skills required for Tier Three interviewing of suspect and witnesses and Tier Five Interview Advisor role.
This is a designated post under the Force Vetting Strategy and the post will therefore attract an enhanced level of vetting.

This post will be re-located to the new purpose built GMP Headquarters at Central Park, Northampton Road, Manchester. Completion of this building is expected to be early 2011.
