A man has been jailed for seven years for drugs and firearm offences in Bolton.
Chris Lowe (15/10/1981) of Kearsley Mount Precinct, Kearsley, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing at Bolton Crown Court.
He was today, 25 February 2010, sentenced to five years imprisonment for two counts possession of a firearm, with an additional two-year sentence for possession of ammunition, to run concurrently.
He was also sentenced to two years imprisonment for possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, to run consecutively.
Shortly before 9am on Wednesday 11 November 2009, police raided a house in Kearsley.
A large quantity of class A and class B drugs were recovered from the house along with two firearms.
Detective Constable Paul Reed said: “Lowe will not be the last drug dealer to be caught in Bolton.
"I hope it sends a clear message not only to other offenders but to the local community too that we will continue to work hard to reduce drug dealing and the massively detrimental affect it has on people.
"I want drug dealers to understand that we use a vast array of tactics to bring them to justice and, next time they hand over drugs for cash, they could be dealing with an undercover officer."
