Housing Association provide new car for police in Bolton
Police in Bolton South’s Neighbourhood Policing Team now have a new police car to help them in their fight against crime, thanks to support from a local Housing Association.
Irwell Valley Housing Association has sponsored a Vauxhall Corsa, which will be used from now on by officers in the community for dealing with Neighbourhood Policing issues, in particular around Bobby Heywoods Park following some recent issues with anti-social behaviour in the area.
Inspector Frank Hall who leads the Bolton South Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This new vehicle will be a real asset to the team as it will help us to cover the area more effectively and increase our visibility. This will hopefully deter criminals and reassure residents in the town, and I would like to thank Irwell Valley for their support.”
The Bolton South Neighbourhood Policing Team covers the areas of Farnworth, Great Lever, Harper Green, Highfield, Kearsley, Little Lever, Minerva Road, Moses Gate, New Bury, Ringlee & Prestolee.
