Fraud and Identity Theft
Action Fraud is the name used by the National Fraud Reporting Centre. This scheme allows members of the public and small/medium sized businesses to report allegations of fraud and offers crime prevention advice and victim support.Types of Fraud
Greater Manchester Police take fraud seriously and have a dedicated unit who deal with major frauds and assist our own divisions and other law enforcement agencies in their investigations.
If your bank account or debit/credit cards have been compromised you should report the matter to the appropriate financial institution in the first instance.
