Filming and Photography


Introduction

The care and long term preservation of the museum is of the utmost concern to the museum staff. No activity will be permitted that is detrimental to this concern. The following is a brief summary of conditions and requirements for filming at the museum.

Photography

We welcome the use of cameras in the museum for non-commercial purposes.

However, any person intending to take photographs in the museum for sale, publication or broadcast in any format, must seek permission in advance from the museum staff.

Film Content

The museum is obliged to notify the Corporate Communications Branch of Greater Manchester Police when a filming request is received. Please note that it may be necessary for filmmakers to submit an outline or script prior to filming approval being given.

Production Fees

Small Productions (interiors) £300.00 per day
This fee is also chargeable for setting up days and de-rigging days

Large Productions (interiors) £500.00 per day
This fee is also chargeable for setting up days and de-rigging days.
