Greater Manchester Police Museum - Filming
Filming and photography
The care and preservation of the museum is our number one priority. Here is a brief summary of conditions and requirements for filming and photography.
Photography
We welcome the use of cameras in the museum for non-commercial purposes. However, if you're seeking to take photographs in the museum for sale, publication or broadcast you must seek permission in advance from museum staff. Email us on Police.Museum@gmp.police.uk for more information.
Film Content
Due to the fragile building environment, we no longer permit filming on site. However we consider enquiries for promotional footage by well-established companies such as the BBC.
We are obliged to notify the Corporate Communications branch of Greater Manchester Police when a filming request is received. TV and Film companies will be asked to submit an outline or script prior to approval being given and sometimes a fee will be required. Email Police.Museum@gmp.police.uk for more information.
