There are a number of ways you can have a say in how your local area is policed. We want to work with you to tackle crime and disorder and you can play an active role in tackling these problems. We are committed to listening to what you have to say and in order to help us improve the service we provide we want to know your views. We will publicise widely a range of ways to obtain your feedback and we will also publish regular updates about what is being done to improve services.

Greater Manchester Police Citizen’s Panel – Regularly Seeking Views on Policing

Become a member of the Greater Manchester Citizen’s Panel. The panel, which was set up three years ago, is called RSVP – Regularly Seeking Views on Policing, and is made up of 3,000 people (which we are hoping to boost to over 4,000 this year).

We send panel members three short questionnaires a year. Each questionnaire is very easy to complete and pre-paid envelopes are provided. The questionnaires seek views from the public on key issues relating to policing, crime and safety.

Whilst we are very interested to hear from anyone who would like to join the panel, we would be particularly interested to hear from people aged between 16-24 and people from minority ethnic groups since they are currently underrepresented on the panel.

For more information about the Citizen’s Panel, including how you can become a member, please send an email to public-consultation@gmp.police.uk
