Your Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers and a dedicated Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). These are supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on the basics: to fight, prevent and reduce crime, whilst keeping people safe and caring for victims.

Your local neighbourhood officers will be targeting reports of vehicle crime across the area. There are dedicated officers for this during peak times. We will continue to remain visible in the area working with partner agencies

Off road bike issues. The neighbourhood policing team has identified the use of off-road bikes as a priority due to ongoing concerns from residents regarding anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance, dangerous riding, and risks to public safety. The unlawful use of off-road bikes can cause significant disruption to local communities, damage public spaces, and place both riders and members of the public at risk.
Action taken:
Officers will be carrying out high-visibility patrols in the Medlock Vale area to address concerns about illegal off-road motorbikes. They will also be gathering intelligence to support enforcement efforts. Please visit our website for crime prevention advice.
