I write in reference to CCTV footage obtained by GMP from Metrolink (Trafford) in relation to the above referenced incident.
The investigating officer confirmed that he had collected the footage from the Metrolink depot, but as the footage was several hours long, he would not have the resources to review it.
I passed the above information to the Motor Insurance Bureau, however they say that GMP has confirmed they do not have the footage.
My vehicle sustained £7,500 worth of damage in this incident caused by a hit and run driver. My excess amounted to £800 and my premium has increased by over £1,000 - and this will be the case for the next 3-5 years. This was not a victimless offence.
I would be grateful if you could please confirm the following:-
