Microchip scanners - FOI GSA 2419/19

I'm interested in pet microchip scanning data.

Please can you complete my freedom-of-information request.

The most important question to me is question 1.

If the other questions are too time consuming to get data please give me the answer to how many scanners you have as the priority question.

 

1. How many pet microchip scanners does your constabulary own?

 

2. How many police stations are within your constabulary?

 

3. How many incidents between 2018 and 2019 required the police to scan a dog's microchip?

 

4. How many court case proceedings were issued regarding dog microchip issues (either no microchip or incorrect details) ? - if possible please provide details of outcomes.

 

5. How many cautions were issued for dogs regarding microchip issues?

 

6. Were there any incidents where the police required the scanning of any pets/animals other than dogs? Details if possible.
