The Total Cost of Operating Speed Cameras - FOI GSA 640/19

I ask that you provide any information regarding this FoI request, originally sent to Wigan Council, which held no information, then forwarded to GMTA which answered 1 and advised me:

 

"We do not hold any recorded information in relation to questions 2 to 6. You would need to request this information from Greater Manchester Police."

1. The number and location of the fixed speed cameras within the Bryn

 

Ward;

 

The following fixed speed cameras are located in Bryn Ward.

• ?B5207 Bryn Rd nr Industrial Estate, Ashton in Makerfield Wigan
• ?A49 Wigan Rd North West of Nicol Rd, Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan

 

2. The number and location of the fixed speed cameras which are currently in operation;

 

3. The total cost of operating the speed cameras (e.g. maintenance, personnel, processing, etc.);

 

4. The total number of prosecutions for speeding, resulting from the use of these cameras;

 

5. The total number of successful prosecutions, resulting from the use of these cameras; and

 

6. The total amount of revenue received from the successful prosecution of speeding drivers."
