Taking Time Off Policy

Staff attendance at work is vital for GMP to successfully deliver its policing plan and the policing pledge.

However, we understand that there will be occasions when you need to take time off and we will carefully consider requests for leave.  We believe that allowing time off can benefit both staff and GMP by promoting work-life balance, retaining valued staff, reducing unplanned absences, and increasing morale.
