Among the festive buzz in the city centre, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers have once again descended across Manchester as part of forcewide initiative, Operation AVRO. The monthly day of intensification delivers additional resources to tackle criminality across a different district each month, focusing on deploying specialist officers, engaging with the community and bringing offenders to justice.
