Detectives are appealing for more information after a firearms discharge in Salford.

At around 9pm on Wednesday 19 February 2020 police were called to reports of a firearms discharge on Murray Avenue in Salford.
A shotgun was fired through the window of a property. The offenders fled the scene before police arrived.
There are no injuries. An investigation is underway.
No arrests have been made.
A cordon was in place but has since been lifted. .
Inspector Rebecca Mills of GMP’s Salford District said: “This was a targeted attack that occurred in a well-populated residential street so although this incident happened after dark we expect people will be able to assist our investigations.
“If you were in the area at the time of the incident and saw anything unusual or suspicious that that could help with our investigations please contact police.
“I would also like to reassure the community that we are doing all we can to protect residents on Murray Street and investigate the incident. You will see extra patrols across the area who will be working to find those responsible for this attack and prevent further incidents of crime in this area.
“If you have any CCTV footage that could help police in our search for more information please contact us as soon as possible.”
