Officers were called around 2.35am today (Sunday 22 August) to a report of a serious collision on a slip road between the M60 and the A666, Bolton.
Emergency services attended and enquiries established a Seat Ateca had been exiting the M60 at junction 15 when it subsequently collided with a crash barrier at the side of the slip road.
Four men, aged between 25 and 58, were taken to hospital where they remain. Three of the men have sustained serious and potentially life changing injuries.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or seen the Ateca in the area at the time to come forward and assist police with their investigation.
