A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Robbery and he remains in custody for questioning.
At approximately 5.30pm on Monday (2 August 2021) officers were called to a report of a robbery on East Downs Road, Bowdon, Trafford.
A man in his 60s suffered from minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Several high value possessions were stolen from the victims during the robbery, including a Rolex watch and Louis Vuitton bag.
Police are now appealing for dashcam footage of the vehicle involved in the robbery.
Detective Inspector Matt Gregory, of GMP's Trafford district, said: "This was a ruthless attack on two innocent victims.
"An investigation is under way into the circumstances surrounding the robbery. We would specifically like to speak with any witnesses who may have seen the black Peugeot 208 used by the offenders during the robbery.
"Following the offence, the car - displaying a '20' registration plate - was seen driving at speed down South Downs Road at approximately 5.35pm on Monday (2 August 2021).
"The car then drove on to Park Road, Hale, where it went through the temporary traffic lights on red, towards Arthog Road.
"Anybody with information or dashcam footage is asked to call police on 0161 856 7573 quoting log 2334 of 02/08/21."
