Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated robbery in Bolton on Saturday night (7 August).
The 93-year-old victim was on her way home from Bingo at around 10.40pm on Victoria Grove, Bolton, when unknown offenders struck her to the back of the head and stole a substantial amount of money before running away from the scene.
The victim did not see the offenders.
DI Chris Broad of Bolton CID said: “This was a horrendous assault on an elderly woman who was just trying to get home from an evening out with friends and we are doing all we can to track down the offenders and bring them to justice.
“We would urge anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with information to please contact us as soon as possible by calling Bolton CID on 0161 856 5830 or 101.
