Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted kidnapping in Eccles.
Officers are keen to speak to a man in a hi-vis jacket who may have seen the incident on Liverpool Road, near to the junction of New Lane, on Monday 25 January 2021 at about 5.35pm.
A number of males attempted to gain entry into a property and remove the occupants from inside, and are in custody awaiting trial.
Detective Constable Rebecca Petrou said: "We are trying to trace a member of the public who intervened and tried to help the victims.
"The witness is a male who was wearing a hi-vis jacket and walking along Liverpool Road near the Full Monty takeaway while the incident was ongoing."
