A man has sadly died following a road traffic collision in Tyldesley last night (15 December).
At around 10pm, officers were called to a report of a serious road traffic collision on Mosley Common Road involving an orange Land Rover Freelander and a white Volvo Articulated Lorries.
Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old man, the driver of the Land Rover Freelander, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the same vehicle suffered minor injuries. The driver of the HGV also suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
PC Paul Clarke, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We're investigating the circumstances around this tragic collision and would ask anyone with information that may assist us to come forward.
"Our thoughts remain with the man's family and specialist officers are supporting them.
"Anyone witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage should call us on 101 quoting incident number 2928 of 15/12/2020. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
