Police are appealing for information after a man was found collapsed in the Wigan area.
At around 3.25pm on Tuesday 30 March 2021, police received a report of a male found collapsed on Ormskirk Road, Wigan, near to the junction with Ellesmere Road.
Enquires established a 28-year-old male had been found unconscious by a passer-by.
Paramedics attended and the male was treated for a head injury - he is currently in hospital in a critical condition.
Detective Constable Barry Conway, of GMP's Wigan CID, said: "We are trying to establish the circumstances which led up to the injured male being found.
"We are appealing for information from anyone in the area of Ormskirk Road around 3.25pm on Tuesday, or anyone with any dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident."
