Police are appealing for information after a woman sadly died in a collision in Manchester

Shortly after 9pm last night (Monday 25 October), police were called to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a blue Mercedes G63 on the junction of Alan Turing Way and Ashton Old Road, Manchester.
Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where despite the best work of hospital staff, she sadly died a short time later.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Inspector Darren Hancock, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This is a tragic incident in which a woman has very sadly lost her life. Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this difficult time.
"This collision happened on a busy road and I am hopeful that there are a number of witnesses who will have seen the collision and may have dashcam footage.
"If you were on this road at the time and saw the car in the lead up to the collison or have any dashcam footage, please get in touch with police as soon as possible."
