We're appealing for information after a serious collision in Bury last night has left a man fighting for his life in hospital.
At around 9.05pm on Sunday 12 September, police were called to a report of a collision involving a Vauxhall Corsa on Bolton Road (A676) in the Hawkshaw area.
It's understood that the Vauxhall was travelling westbound in the direction of Turton when it collided with a parked car on the passenger's side and proceeded to travel towards a crossing carriageway on the driver's side where the vehicle came to a stop.
The passenger in the Vauxhall - a 37-year-old man - was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries and remains there in a critical condition.
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving. She remains in custody for questioning.
