At around 11.40 on Monday 4 April 2022, we received a report of a collision on Bolton Road, Atherton.
Officers attended and established that a driver had lost control of the car and collided with two parked cars.
The passenger, a 19-year-old-man, was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Detective Sergeant Marie Eldred, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "As our investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision continues, we send well wishes to the man who's in hospital.
"We appeal to anyone with information, particularly dash cam footage from the surrounding area at around the time of the collision, to contact us as soon as possible."

UPDATE:
A man has been charged in connection with a serious collision in Wigan.
Jacob Gaskell (09/04/03), of Malborough Avenue, Ince has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, whilst disqualified, whilst unlicensed/ uninsured, serious injury by dangerous driving, whilst disqualified and failing to stop.
He has been remanded in custody until a hearing at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on Monday 11 April 2022.
At around 9.20pm on Friday 8 April 2022, we were called to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Ormskirk Road, Pemberton. A female pedestrian in her 40s sadly died. Two male pedestrians were seriously injured. A second male who was also arrested has been released under investigation.
