On Monday 3 January 2022 at around 10.30pm, officers were called to reports of a burglary at a pub on Market Street in Droylsden.
Officers attended and a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Following this arrest, a search was conducted at the man's address and a pocket watch and Cartier bracelet were recovered which are believed to be stolen.
Officers are appealing for the owners of this property to come forward so that it can be returned to them.
PC Vicky New, of GMP's Tameside district, said: "The pocket watch in particular is very unique so we believe that it could hold great sentimental value to someone who is missing it and are keen for it to be returned to its rightful owner."
If anyone has any information about these items of jewellery and who they may belong to please contact police on 0161 856 9259 quoting log number 805 of 04/01/22.
Alternatively reports can be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
