We're appealing for information after a man was left with a broken jaw following an unprovoked assault at a nightclub in Leigh earlier this month.
In the early hours of Sunday 6 February, a man in his 20s went to the upstairs toilets in the Est Nightclub on Railway Road and was approached by a man while washing his hands.
Without provocation, the victim was hit in the face by the offender - leaving him requiring hospital treatment for five days with a broken jaw in three places.
Thankfully, he is now able to continue his recovery at home after two subsequent operations.
The offender is described as a white man dressed in dark clothing in his early 20s.
Detectives from Wigan CID are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Est nightclub on Saturday (5 February) night into the early hours of the following Sunday to come forward with any information they may have.
No arrests have been made and enquiries - including CCTV trawls - are ongoing to further their understanding of who committed the attack.
Anyone with information should contact police online, if able, via the GMP website; or call 101 quoting incident 1429 of 13/02/2022.
Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
