At around 3:00am on 7 August, police were called to an address on Market Street, Droylsden.
Emergency services attended and established a brick had been thrown through a window.
A fire at the front of the property was extinguished.
This follows a second similar incident, which took place earlier this week at the same address, at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning (3 August 2021).
Thankfully, no injuries were reported from either incident.
Officers are treating both incidents as attempted arson.
Detective Sergeant Aidan Kennedy said: "This is incredibly distressing for the family involved, and we are doing our utmost to support them and ensure their safety.
"We have launched a full investigation into why this is taking place and who is responsible, and we are looking to the local community who might be able to offer information that could assist in our investigation.
"You might live in or have visited the surrounding area and recall seeing someone acting suspiciously. Any piece of information, no matter how small could help us to identify who is responsible for these repeated attacks."
