At around 11:30pm on Friday 2 September 2022, police responded to an incident in Dukinfield, Tameside.
Officers were following a Toyota HiAce in Dukinfield that was suspected to have been involved in theft offences. The vehicle was pursued through Tameside to Openshaw when the driver of the Toyota and his teenage passenger de-camped from the vehicle in Openshaw at around 11:40pm.
The driver fled the scene whilst the teenager, upon getting out of the car, was trapped between this car and a parked vehicle on Wheler Street, Openshaw. The teenage male suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was taken to hospital to receive treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota remains unknown at this time and officers are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry.
Greater Manchester Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have footage that could help us identify the suspect.
