A man has been charged in connection with a series of street robberies in Longsight

The charges relate to Operation Valiant – an ongoing crackdown on personal robberies in the area.
Bradut Lacatus (12/08/99) of no fixed address has been charged with four counts of personal robbery.
Lacatus has also been charged with possession with intent to supply and five counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded in custody and appeared before Manchester Magistrates’ Court earlier today (Wednesday 14 August 2019). He will reappear on Monday 9 September at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
Four robberies were committed between Wednesday 17 July and Sunday 11 August 2019, where victims were threatened with a knife and had large quantities of cash stolen.
