During the fourth day of GMP’s drink and drug drive campaign, officers made 11 arrests, resulting in five people being charged.
Roy Welsh (08/12/1943) of Bridge Lane, Stockport has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 July.
Daniel Roberts (04/12/1975) of Wellington Grove, Stockport has been charged with failing to provide a specimen. He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 July.
Colin Campbell (23/10/1987) of Castle Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop. He is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 August.
Nicola Davenport (27/02/1970) of Hardcastle Road, Stockport has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 July.
Lee Byrnes (10/11/1976) of Bankfield Road, Sale has been charged with failing to provide a specimen and a public order offence. He is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 24 July.
Three people have been released under investigation and three people were released with no further action.
