During the second day of GMP’s drink and drug drive campaign, officers made six arrests, resulting in two people being charged.
Warren Bond (19/02/1969) of Beech Avenue, Cheadle has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Monday 8 July.
Geoffrey Newton (19/01/1965) of Fir Street, Salford has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. He is due to appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 24 July.
Three people have been released under investigation and one person was released with no further action.
Joseph Ball (13/05/1969) of Beaumont Grove, Wigan, who was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday 25 June) and was fined £120, disqualified from driving for 12 months and was ordered to pay costs of £115.
